"In my sculpture I try to capture the beautiful lines of the human form. I see my interaction with the material similar to a dance. I am fascinated by the juxtaposition of balance and movement. By creating a cantilevered form, delicate yet strong, I try to abstract the human form to its essential elements. There are points of connection, as in life, resulting from holding on and letting go. The challenge is knowing when to allow either of these to occur."
